You will develop and execute our PR strategies for a wider set of clients in various niches and hold responsibility for the PR strategy and journalist relations as part of the Earned Media campaigns.

Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a position involving direct contact with the media (PR Agency or In-house)
Responsibilities
  • Detailed competitor research for clients
  • Idea generation for creative PR campaigns.
  • Research and analysis of new potential PR angles for clients
  • Assist with the writing and implementing of strategies for individual clients
  • Working with the content marketing team to devise media-worthy stories
  • Produce PR collateral: Developing engaging PR content relevant to platforms and audiences, building PR plans and briefs for other relevant departments in the agency, draft press releases for campaigns, coordinate the development of articles
  • Deliver competitor insights focusing on off-page strategies (Link Profile & Online Coverage Review audit)
  • Outreach to editors within the media as required, building relationships with journalists in key niches, researching and maintaining media distribution lists to ensure accuracy and relevancy
  • Be proactive in generating media coverage for clients, research by identifying feature opportunities and selling features into publications
  • Reporting on press activity performance and production of monthly PR report for clients to measure the effectiveness of PR activity and support ROI decision-making.
  • Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients and coverage
  • Act as a key point of contact for press and building relationships with the media, including attending journalist meetings
  • Make sure the PR and outreach is aligned with the client objectives and will help achieve the Earned Media targets
  • Work with the content and creative team to run external events
  • Manage and forge new relationships with key journalists in food & drink, home improvement, fashion, health & fitness
 Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a position involving direct contact with the media (PR Agency or In-house)
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive and a self-starter
  • Proven organisational and planning skills, including PR planning and strategy
  • Self-motivated approach to work; ability to work to short deadlines and under pressure
  • Ability to work with and analyse data, as well as report writing
  • Experience drafting press releases and generating marketing content
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of SEO

  • Understanding and experience in content marketing and blogger outreach
  • Good working knowledge of Windows-based packages (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A strong understanding of the media, editorial requirements and what makes a story
  • Ability to demonstrate innovative thinking and problem solving
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently within a supportive team environment
Experience or an interest in any of the following would be an asset:
  • Basic design skills and experience with Canva/Photoshop
  • Experience with WordPress
  • Event management
  • Social Media channel management
